WELL Well well

I was looking at my mud

when my Well Guy showed up with three other Guys.

Well Rig

Luckily I had the mud ready for them

Arranged the garage for the Gravel Guy to come in on monday. Did I mention that I hate doing construction projects. It always means MUD.

More Well stuff

All is Well  for now.

Bulldozer

Finished up getting the batteries secure in the sailboat.

My Electrician Guy came and marked where the buried lines are.

The Well Guy called and said he was going to come today but didn't.

and the Bulldozer Guy came and flattened out the donut/dump/hill that was in the middle of the driveway. I love it when your Guys show up.

The Sail Guy let me down and won't have my sails ready until monday.

Logging

Every person who deals with a chainsaw and logs needs one of these...

and one of these...

Started working on securing the batteries in my sailboat. This is what happens when you are measuring between two batteries and you touch the terminals with a metal measuring tape. Lots of sparks as well.

Where did all this stuff come from?

At least My Guys are starting to call and planning to get to work. I guess I have one of the few dry areas that they can get trucks into. I've been bumped up the schedule for my well, excavation and cement work. At least that's what I've been told.

Priorities

Fixed my propeller on MaxiMom.

Went into town to buy electrical stuff.

Burned some junk wood.

Plenty more where that came from

Had to move the camper...

The Well Guy showed up and will start drilling this week... I'll see it when I believe it...errr.

Rainy Day

Worked inside today. It rained off and on.

Sorted some wood into piles to keep and burn as junk.
Moved two batteries from the camper to a portable power box that can power my electric chainsaw.
Organized my tools...

I finally get to use some of them again. Not much room in a camper for wood working etc.

Yes that is the Yellow Paper

Saw this at the RV repair shop. Always wanted one. I mean who wouldn't want a neon palm tree?!?!!

First Month

I'm keeping this short.

Bought some land in upper Wisconsin near the shores of Lake Superior. The land is 3.75 acres and had 279 ft. of shoreline on a glorified pond named Perch Lake. There are a dozen Perch Lakes in Wisconsin. This one is very small and actually shaped like a perch. It it 750 feet long by 150 ft wide and 15 food deep. It has a hard muck bottom and has very dark brown water caused by tannic acid from the leaves of the surrounding trees. The water is very good ... just tea colored...very strong tea.

The lot has this on it...

It is a 44 by 44 foot pole barn. I will be adding a bunkhouse on the far right along with a porch. It should look like this when done...

Right now it looks like this inside ...

By mid-summer it should look like this ...

I'm just waiting for the local Guys to start working. These Guys seem to be on their own schedule in  a rural area which revolves around fishing and hunting. I wish I had some Gals and the job would be finished.

The well gets dug in 10 days...if the Guy shows up. Meanwhile I've chopped a dozen trees down, split some wood, bought a few machines to keep the place looking good, shopped for wood stoves, powered wheelbarrows, planned where stuff will go, hauled up my three sailboats,( care to buy one?) and started to write again.

Bye for now.
